Tacko Watch: Fall logs second double-double with Red Claws

Tacko Fall had no issues playing rim protector for the Red Claws in their home opener on Friday. The big man blocked six of Fort Wayne’s shots in Maine’s 103-100 win.

More importantly, every time Fall was on the floor, the Mad Ants (Pacers) were hesitant to enter the paint in their halfcourt offense. The few times they scored inside while Fall was on the floor were on fastbreak chances and floaters launched well before the Mad Ants got near the big man.

Fall also registered his second double-double for Maine. He scored 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Tremont Waters scored nine points before halftime, but wasn’t efficient in the second half, despite finishing with 17 points. He went 6-for-16 from the floor and made 1 of his 8 3-point attempts.

Waters went 4-for-5 from the free-throw line, earning all of his attempts at the end of the game. He also facilitated well throughout, registering seven assists.

Romeo Langford rolled his ankle at the start of the second quarter and did not return for the Red Claws. He only logged six minutes and went 0-for-2 from the floor.
