Despite all the excitement surrounding Tacko Fall, he is in a position where he needs to prove himself to the Celtics, perhaps more than anyone affiliated with the team.
After going undrafted, he wasted no time surprising everyone, including the team, with his mobility on the floor. And he’s already received praise from fellow rookie Grant Williams and new Celtics big man Enes Kanter.
Throughout his summer working out in Boston, Fall has continued with his efforts to improve his quickness on the floor, as well as his pick-and-roll defense.
“That’s, pretty much, one of the biggest things I’ve worked on this summer,” Fall said at a New Balance Foundation event in Brighton on Friday. “All the coaches have done a pretty good job breaking it down for me and starting from the beginning. Definitely helped me a lot this summer so far.”
Though, Fall hit a slight bump in the road with his training. The 7-foot-7 Celtic has a knee sprain, per source.
Jared Weiss of The Athletic was first on the news, reporting the injury is mild and Fall will only be out for a week.
