Report: Celtics have no intention of trading Jae Crowder
Maybe Jae Crowder won’t be traded after all.
According to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe, the Celtics do not have any intention of trading Crowder. He adds the team is excited about lineup possibilities.
This is interesting considering the number of forwards the team has in Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Gordon Hayward. Crowder would likely see his minutes reduced with the number of small forwards on the roster.
Crowder, 27, is coming off a season where he averaged 13.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
He was thought to be a valuable trade chip considering his team-friendly contract through 2020.
