Report: As of now, no more pressing deals for the Celtics
After a busy few days that included signing Gordon Hayward and trading Avery Bradley and a 2019 second round pick for Marcus Morris, it appears the Celtics have no further deals on the horizon.
After losing Kelly Olynyk, Amir Johnson, Jonas Jerebko, and Tyler Zeller to begin the offseason, adding a forward became a vital need for Danny Ainge, thus the reasoning behind acquiring Morris.
There had also been speculation that the Celtics would try to make a move towards Grizzlies center Marc Gasol, but as of now it seems to only be speculation.
According to Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe, while the Celtics are always looking for trades, there are currently no more pressing.
Despite the Celtics having still not added an elite rebounder, they feel good about their size across the board, and the unique line-ups they could put together, Himmelsbach also reported. This falls in line with Brad Stevens’ comments earlier in the week in regards to the Celtics adopting positionless basketball.
