NBA Free Agency: Enes Kanter agrees to deal with Celtics

Multiple reports indicate the Celtics have agreed to a deal with Enes Kanter.

Shams Charania of The Athletic was the first to report the deal, which states it’s a two-year worth $10 million.

Jeff Goodman of Stadium is reporting Kanter has a player option for the second year.

Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports is reporting Kanter will make $4.767 million in the first year and $5,005,350 million in the second, and he confirmed the player option for year two. Smith is also reporting the Celtics are looking to add another big with a minimum exception, while also re-signing Daniel Theis.

Previous reports had indicated the Celtics were interested in signing Kanter, who’s averaged 14 points and 9.1 rebounds per game over the last three years. While he’s an efficient offensive player (56.2 field goal percentage), Kanter is also known for his struggles on the defensive end.
