During Friday’s exhibition game against Spain, Marcus Smart said he was feeling good and he’d be ready to go by the time the FIBA World Cup began. Well, it looks like Smart is returning well before the start of the international tournament.
Marc Stein of the New York Times is reporting Smart (calf tightness) has been cleared to fully participate in all team activities.
With De’Aaron Fox withdrawing from Team USA on Saturday and P.J. Tucker suffering an ankle injury, which led to his withdrawal, the team needs Smart to help lead things on the defensive end even more.
