The Celtics had another injury scare on Monday in Phoenix. Marcus Smart went down with a non-contact injury in the fourth quarter against the Suns.
Shortly after Smart exited the game — receiving help from the Celtics staff — Boston diagnosed the injury as a sprained right ankle.
The Celtics then ruled Smart out for the remainder of the game.

After the win, Smart told reporters his ankle was OK. He irritated the same spot on his ankle that bothered him previously.
“Got a day off, use it, get the treatment I need and be ready for the next game,” Smart said.
Smart also added he would’ve returned if Monday’s game was tight.
