Las Vegas is all in on a monster game from LeBron James.
According to ESPN’s Doug Kezirian, the over/under on James in Sunday’s Eastern Conference Finals Game 7 vs. the Celtics is 38 points. That’s not only the highest Vegas point total of James’ career, Kezirian reports. It’s the highest ever.
The reason is obvious. James is coming off a 46-point effort in Friday’s Game 6 win, which extended the series. He has topped 40 points seven times in 17 games this postseason, including three times in this series. The Celtics prevailed despite his 42-point effort in Game 2, but James scored 44 points in a Game 4 win, and then 46 on Friday.
He’s averaging 33.9 points a game in the playoffs, and and 33.3 points a night vs. the Celtics, though that includes a 15-point night in Game 1.
Whatever Vegas thinks of LeBron’s chances for a big game, the odds are still with the Celtics, who opened as 2.5-point favorites.
