According to ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Nets remain Irving’s “preferred choice.” The report also adds the Nets have “telegraphed their intention” of signing both Irving and Kevin Durant, despite suffering an Achilles injury in the NBA Finals.
Irving reportedly has even met with Durant in recent weeks to help recruit him to Brooklyn.
Nothing is finalized, but it appears more so than ever Irving will leave the Celtics and sign with the Nets.
