Although some of the C’s key players are questionable, Kyrie Irving is likely to return Wednesday after missing Monday’s game against the Pelicans. Irving was not on Tuesdays injury report which is a good sign for the Celtics point guard.
Meanwhile, Aron Baynes is questionable for Wednesday’s game with a left ankle sprain while Al Horford is experiencing left knee soreness and also remains questionable.
In addition, Gordon Hayward is doubtful for due to illness and Guerschon Yabusele has been ruled out with a right ankle sprain.
The Celtics will be happy to get Irving back as he’s averaging 21.8 points per game with 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals.
On the other hand, losing Horford would be a big blow to this lineup. The big-man is averaging 12.4 points per game with 1.7 blocks and 6.4 rebounds.
Hayward is averaging 10.8 points per game with 3.6 assists and 5.5 rebounds.
The C’s face off with the Washington Wizards Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
