Since the Celtics traded him in the summer of 2017, Isaiah Thomas has had a tough time staying on the court. Most of the issue has stemmed from his hip, which he first hurt while with the C’s.
Thomas has since had the necessary surgery and is currently a member of the Washington Wizards.
But he’s still not going to start the 2019-20 season on time. Not because of his hip, but because of the radial collateral ligament he ruptured in his thumb during a workout on Monday — which he had surgically repaired on Wednesday, the Wizards have announced.
Thomas will be out 6-8 weeks.
