According to ESPN.com’s Adrian Wojnarowski, former Celtic Jonas Jerebko is planning on joining the Golden State Warriors.
The 31-year-old was waived by the Utah Jazz Saturday, potentially allowing him to become a free as soon as Monday. If no team chooses to claim Jerebko, which would necessitate picking up the $4.5 million he is owed next season, the forward will be able to sign with the Warriors.
The report states that Jerebko is intent on signing with Golden State for the veteran minimum deal.
The 6-foot-10 Jerebko shot 41 percent from beyond the 3-point stripe for the Jazz in 74 games last seasons, having come off two fairly productive campaigns with the Celtics. In Boston, he played 74 games in each of the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, averaging just more than 15 minutes per game in each.
