Celtics reportedly couldn’t finalize deal with Yante Maten

A week ago, the Celtics were reportedly working toward signing Yante Maten. The former All-SEC forward played two games for the Miami Heat last season, though he spent most of 2018-19 with their G League team, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

According to Keith Smith of RealGM, that deal fell through.

Smith’s report also indicates the Celtics are signing Bryce Brown, who was a two-time All-SEC guard at Auburn and went undrafted this year.

He participated in the 2019 NBA Summer League, playing for the Sacramento Kings. While in Las Vegas, Brown averaged 5.4 points on 37 percent shooting, playing 12.4 minutes per game.
