The action will get started September 28th when the Celtics travel down to the Dean Smith Center to play Charlotte. The two squads will play again, in Boston, two days later on September 30th.
It’s an earlier start for the C’s than usual, last year the preseason tipped off on October 2nd against Charlotte.
The Celtics will also get a preseason look at the LeBron-less Cavs for the first time on October 2nd in Boston, before a rematch in Cleveland on October 6th to round out the preseason.
Last year’s preseason ended on October 11th, which means the C’s will have an extra few days of rest before the regular season kicks off. The NBA schedule will be released sometime in August.
