When LeBron James took heat for celebrating an alley-oop during his son’s game, Celtics’ Jayson Tatum took to Twitter to defend the Laker.
Over the weekend, Bronny James threw down a remarkable slam dunk to help his team, the North Coast Blue Chips, pull out a win during an AAU tournament in Las Vegas. Afterwards, James stepped off the baseline and rushed the court in celebration for his son. He was so excited he even lost his shoe, and had to go back to retrieve it. Then, he returned back to the court again to continue the celebration even more.
James faced a lot of criticism for his actions, with many calling it “child-like behavior.” However, Tatum, who is also a father, publicly defended James’ actions on Monday, tweeting that it was “crazy” to be upset with a father who was happy and supporting his son.
With so many fathers not supporting there kids we get upset because he is genuinely happy for his son! Lol that’s crazy I can’t wait till my son get older and I get to support him with whatever he wants to do! https://t.co/pUCZOlZreD

Bronny is a talented high school prospect who has drawn a great deal of attention, especially given his last name. Meanwhile, Tatum’s son is not quite 2 years old yet, so the Celtics small forward has some time before he’ll be storming the court at AAU tournaments, or showing his support for whatever he pursues in life. But, Tatum has already made it clear that he will be right there supporting him regardless.
